Anant Nambiar – A Proven Leader for Westchester

Anant Nambiar is a dedicated public servant, business leader, and proud resident of Larchmont for over two decades. He has been married to his wife, Hema, for 29 years, and they have raised three children—Kumar (27), Sachin (25), and Simran (23)—right here in our community.

With years of experience as a Town of Mamaroneck Councilman and former Mamaroneck School Board member, Anant has a proven track record of tackling tough challenges head-on. Professionally, he spent over 25 years as a senior executive at American Express, Mastercard, and Synchrony Financial, leading strategy and product management teams and earning 12 U.S. patents for innovation. 

When our schools faced financial crises, Anant joined the Mamaroneck School Board to find and deliver solutions.  He hired a new superintendent, signed new union contracts, created a Citizens Financial Advisory Committee to utilize the financial expertise of our residents, and stabilized school finances. As a member of the Town Board, Anant has been instrumental in improving performance, including communicating the reasoning and tradeoffs of the annual budget. He’s also been the Board liaison to both the Planning and Zoning Boards while focused on responsible housing growth. 

His deep financial expertise and ability to drive real solutions make him the right choice to represent District 7, covering Harrison, Rye, Rye Neck, Mamaroneck, and Larchmont.
